You should fly into the San Jose airport (SJO), which is approximately two hours away from the resort. *** unless a special group and we've already discussed LIR as your airport of choice. 

We have ground transportation arranged for your arrival & departure only IF you have organized flights through our Travel Coordinator. If your flights are not on the designated arrival and departure dates or with the times needed for the group transport, your ground transportation will cost an additional fee. We can help you arrange and just pay directly. 

If arranging on your own, we recommend arriving a little earlier in the day (morning/afternoon) so you are able to attend our welcome dinner on arrival evening. If not, we will review the information in the morning prior to the first clinic! 

Hanging Bridges: The Hanging Bridges Tour is a 2-mile, mainly flat hike with the option to take a route with 1 bridge or a route with 5-6 bridges, depending on your personal preference. The hanging bridges are fairly high and move slightly as guests walk over them, but they are perfectly safe and offer spectacular views. Beautiful nature can be found here, along with wildlife such as birds, monkeys, snakes, insects, peccaries, amphibians, and more! The route is shrouded by tree cover, so it stays cool throughout.

La Fortuna Waterfall Hike Tour: The journey towards the Rio Fortuna waterfall is self-guided, with: toilets, locker rooms, showers, rental of lockers, souvenir shops, viewpoints, an Orchid Garden and the particular River Lounge Restaurant. The hike has accessibility to people with disabilities who cannot go down the steps of the tour to the waterfall; and for them we offer view of the waterfall from the first viewpoint, from this point you can see the waterfall to a distance of 200 meters with the best pictures; but you can also travel to the Orchid Garden.The route consists of about 530 steps down to reach the impressive Rio Fortuna waterfall, where the peace and the majesty of nature will make you enjoy its clear waters and the scenic beauty of the place.

• RECOMMENDED TO BRING: swimsuit, sunscreen, bug spray, water, hat, sunglasses, sandals, and a towel if desired (although you’ll dry fast in the sun after swimming)

Hot Springs & Pool at Los Lagos: The pools at Los Lagos Hotel, Spa & Resort receive their water supply directly from the tropical rainforest’s springs. Each pool is like a man-made pond, fed by fresh, freely flowing streams. So, you will enjoy a refreshing and relaxing Costa Rican vacation in a pristine natural pool. The natural hot springs at the Los Lagos Hotel, Spa & Resort receive their water supply directly from pristine rainforest springs, and are natural looking hot tubs, strategically placed to receive the continuous flow of hot fresh water, full of healthy minerals, from the Arenal Volcano’s underground heat source to your body! There is a swim up bar for drinks and food if you choose!
